Responsibilities:

  • Assuring 24/7 uptime for all critical broadcast systems (TV & Radio) both directly or indirectly by coordinating and managing the market chief engineers.

Position: Manager, Digital Solutions

Job Description:

As a Digital Solutions Manager, you'll be responsible for working with SBS sales team, station management, the corporate office and our clients to develop, sell and deploy successful multi-­‐platform advertising campaigns. The DSM will provide digital expertise and share insights with our sales team, clients, managers and develop strategic advertising solutions by integrating cross platform advertising & sponsorships, market research, and targeted advertising & analytics into a comprehensive story and customer centric advertising solution. Job Description:

The Digital Sales Planner will lead all interactive advertising operations across all of SBS digital properties, including websites and mobile apps. He/She will be responsible for managing online digital campaign inventory, internal and external reporting, campaign optimization, and implementation of proprietary and 3rd party tags. Position Title: Broadcast IT Engineer

Spanish Broadcasting System – New York has a rare opportunity for a broadcast IT specialist to work in fast paced, very progressive multimedia facility. The position requires a computer expert who works well under pressure, adapts quickly to multiple changes at a moment’s notice, has the ability to multi-task efficiently, demonstrates leadership and organizational skills, and wants to be a respected member of a team that’s one of the best in the business.

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the SBS New York IT Infrastructure within the parameters specified by corporate MIS and local engineering.
  • Recommend, install, maintain, and repair equipment necessary for the operation of the broadcast and multimedia production facilities.  This equipment shall include, but is not limited to: desktop computers, file servers, Wide Orbit Automation and Traffic systems, streaming audio systems, Mac based ProTools HD audio and Adobes CC multimedia production workstations, and related infrastructure such as switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Act as a local administrator and analyst of the facility, including Active Directory, e-mail, storage, and application servers.  Fulfill role as a primary contact for IT disaster recovery, and local SOX compliance.
  • Document all equipment, wiring, and technical systems using software, as well as manual drafting.
  • Oversee local PBX administration, and deployment of hardware as needed.
  • Support all end users of hardware and software in a broadcast station environment.
  • Assist in planning and development of all aspects of broadcast station technical facilities, including studios, transmission, telephone systems, STL systems, vehicles, computer workstations, and Ethernet or wireless networks.
  • Perform local IT systems troubleshooting, desktop support, networking, printer and copier setups, and business applications installations.
  • Assist in instruction to non-technical colleagues on proper use of technical and computing equipment.
  • Support station on-site at field operations during major events, including concerts or remotes.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of the equipment at the station, transmitter sites, and remote vehicles.

SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • Experience with broadcast traffic, production, and play out systems desired.

  • SBE Certifications are highly desirable.

Position Title: Chief Engineer

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain the WLEY- FM radio station within the parameters specified by the FCC rules. Will also maintain all records required by the FCC including the station log, maintenance logs, and other logs required by SBS.
• Assume the responsibilities of the station(s) chief operator in accordance with FCC rule 73.1870.
• Maintain, repair, recommend, and install equipment necessary for the operation of the stations. This equipment shall include, but is not limited to: Studio Equipment, Transmitter Equipment, Telephone System, Computers, STL Equipment, Wide Orbit Automation for Radio equipment.
• Document equipment and wiring systems, using software as well as manual drafting.

• Support station on-site and field operations during major events.
